https://journal.fkpt.org/index.php/gves/article/view/1659

Higher education in Malaysia is currently developing rapidly and experiencing changes in line with the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0). In this series, today's teaching and learning methods tend to be digital media with the concept of knowledge at your fingertips. Various initiatives are carried out by teaching staff to develop and develop digital learning materials for students. This study aims to examine student perceptions including the use of digital materials, accessibility, content of the Mylink Etika platform which is used as a digital material medium for the Appreciation of Ethics and Civilization (PEP) course. This study also determines the level of student willingness to learn independently using the Mylink Etika platform. This quantitative study uses a research question form (google form) as a study instrument. A total of 121 students from the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Tourism and Hospitality and the Department of Commerce from the Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Polytechnic (PTSS) and the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Polytechnic (POLIMAS) were involved in this study. The study data was analyzed descriptively using the software 'Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS Statistics 26.0). Overall, the results of the study involving three aspects were good, namely the construct of students' perceptions of the use of digital materials (min=3.95), accessibility of the Mylink Etika platform (min=3.94), material information and graphics (min=3.85). The results prove that students' perceptions of the use of the Mylink Etika platform as a medium for digital materials are good. However, the results for the level of student willingness to learn independently using the platform provided are at a modest level (min=3.31). The implications of this study are important to encourage PEP course lecturers to always provide a learning environment that is in line with students' interests and tendencies as well as the world of educational technology and injects enthusiasm towards independent learning in students.
Ainul Farhaan binti Harun

https://journal.fkpt.org/index.php/gves/article/view/1660

This paper explores the challenges and implications of digitalization in taxation, focusing on the case of Malaysia. This article applies a systematic approach to literature review which examines how digital transformation has impacted tax administration, from the introduction of e-filing and online payments to the broader shifts in policy design and implementation. Despite the potential benefits such as increased efficiency and revenue collection, Malaysia faces several hurdles in fully embracing digitalization. These include issues with communication, tax agent acceptance, the transformation of tax administration itself, tax system awareness and education, and the evolving landscape for businesses and society. The paper emphasizes the need for strategic planning, capacity building, stakeholder involvement, and effective change management to successfully navigate the digitalization of tax administration. Overall, it underscores the importance of addressing these challenges to fully realize the potential of digitalization in enhancing tax compliance and government revenue. Malaysia must prioritize strategy, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and robust change management to achieve success in digital tax administration.
Nur Azreen Azriana binti Azham

https://journal.fkpt.org/index.php/gves/article/view/1661

The anxiety of learning a foreign language could be a barrier or hindrance for learners in achieving their learning goals. In spite of extensive research that has been conducted on identifying educators’ techniques and treatments to overcome speaking anxiety among English as a Second (ESL) learners, the issue remains eminent. A substitute to mitigate the issue is to identify effective coping strategies which learners can apply and practice in an actual situation. In this paper, researchers investigate the most common coping strategy used by ESL learners to cope with speaking anxiety and the coping mechanism preferred by the learners to overcome speaking anxiety. The descriptive analysis revealed that working in small groups is the most commonly used coping strategies by ESL learners and the importance of the educator’s role as a mechanism to cope with second language speaking anxiety. Finally, there are several actions to be taken by the researchers mentioned in this research to reduce or control speaking anxiety by using the right coping strategies based on the results achieved in this research.
Siti Nurfirdaus binti Mohd NasirNik Intan Baizura binti Ramsa

https://journal.fkpt.org/index.php/gves/article/view/1662

Tazkiyyat al-Nafs is a spiritual process in Islam which aims to cleanse the soul of mazmumah (negative) traits and strengthen mahmudah (positive) traits. Tazkiyyat al-Nafs has its roots in the Koran and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which emphasize the importance of cleansing the soul as a step towards spiritual perfection. This process involves thinking, self-control, and active efforts to improve character. The importance of Tazkiyyat al-Nafs can be understood in the context of spiritual cleansing which allows a person to approach Allah SWT and achieve true happiness. By eliminating mazmumah traits such as arrogance, greed and anger, a person can achieve inner peace and true happiness. In addition, Tazkiyyat al-Nafs helps a person develop easy qualities such as honesty, patience, and compassion, which are the principles of a meaningful and harmonious life. By strengthening these easy qualities, a person can become a role model for himself and the community around him. This study focuses on exploring the importance of Tazkiyyat al-Nafs in eliminating the mazmumah (disgraceful) nature and reviving the mahmudah (praiseworthy) nature in a person. This study is in qualitative form by referring to previous studies related to the tazkiyyat al-nafs process. The results of the study show the importance of tazkiyyat al-nafs in the process of purifying oneself and then approaching (taqarrub) Allah. 2024-11-152024-11-15111922Penyebaran Doktrin Ajaran Sesat Di Alam Siber : Ancaman Akidah Umat Islam Di Malaysia
https://journal.fkpt.org/index.php/gves/article/view/1663

The phenomenon of heresy is not a new matter because it has existed since the early days of Islam in the apostolic era of the Prophet Muhammad SAW until today. This problem needs to be addressed immediately and given serious attention by all parties from time to time because it causes the Islamic faith to slip away from the Islamic teachings that were actually brought by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. In fact, a large part of this understanding is clearly deviant and is being proclaimed as heretical teachings by the Malaysian Islamic Progress Department (JAKIM). Based on this problem, the author put forward a concept paper entitled 'The Spread of Heretical Doctrines in Cyberspace: Threats to the Faith of Muslims in Malaysia' to explain to Muslims in Malaysia to be alert to the symptoms of heretical teachings like this. In this connection, the author will discuss three forms of heretical doctrine that often appear and are still actively spread through various platforms on social media, including the teachings of the Last Dream Journey (PMYT), the teachings of the Hulk and the teachings of Batiniah. Apart from that, this concept paper explains that in the era of rapid progress of the industrial revolution 4.0 and the era of cyber technology, the spread of information through the borderless virtual world makes this problem even more difficult to control because it causes people to be confused in differentiating whether the information is true or not. or not. It is hoped that this concept paper will be able to pave the way for reviewers to carry out related investigations as an effort to deal with various forms of heretical doctrinal abuse which clearly deviate from the teachings of Ahli Sunnah wal Jamaah. Therefore, Muslims need to be alert and not easily influenced by the emergence of various new sects like this, especially for those who are still new to the religion of Islam.
Kamsani bin MD. Saad

The issue of ineffective financial management arose from a failure to comprehend the fundamentals of finance. To determine the established connection between financial literacy and potential intervening and moderating variables of financial behaviour, the current study aims to critically analyse the literature. The gaps in the current literature are noted and suggested for additional study in the context of the workplace. The literature review's findings suggest that there are distinctions in the definition and measurement of financial behaviour and financial literacy. Furthermore, there appears to be a correlation between sound financial behaviour and financial literacy.
Rosasmanizan binti Ahmad
